Community Guidelines

Last updated: August 14, 2026

These Guidelines are part of the Terms of Service and explain what is and isn't allowed on Parkboxd. Breaking them can result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, and, for the most serious violations, reports to law enforcement.

1. Be a good park-goer

Parkboxd is for logging visits, rating rides, and sharing trips. Keep it useful and kind:

  • Post your own honest experiences and photos.
  • Credit others; don't pass off someone else's content as your own.
  • Disagree respectfully. No harassment, hate, or targeted abuse.

2. Zero tolerance: child safety

The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind;
  • Any sexualization of minors, including suggestive imagery or text;
  • Grooming, enticement, solicitation, or sextortion of a minor;
  • Sharing or threatening to share non-consensual intimate imagery (of anyone).

If you encounter any of this, report it immediately using the in-app report tool or by emailing contact@parkboxd.com with "CHILD SAFETY" in the subject.

Where we report content to NCMEC, U.S. law requires us to preserve the reported material and related account information for at least 1 year — see Terms of Service §5.1. That preservation continues after the content is removed and after an account is deleted.

3. Also not allowed

  • Illegal content or activity, or promotion of it;
  • Harassment, hate speech, threats, or incitement of violence;
  • Sexually explicit or obscene content;
  • Spam, scams, advertising, or manipulation (fake engagement, bots);
  • Impersonation or misrepresentation of identity or affiliation;
  • Posting other people's private information ("doxxing");
  • Uploading photos of identifiable people without the consent required by law;
  • Infringing copyrights or trademarks (see the DMCA process in the Terms);
  • Attempts to break, probe, scrape, or overload the Service.

4. Photos and other people

  • Only upload images you have the right to share.
  • Be considerate of bystanders, children, and employees who appear in your photos. Remove or avoid posting images when someone objects or where consent is required.
  • Remember that public posts can be seen and re-shared by anyone, and that uploaded images may be reachable by anyone who has the image's link.

5. Reporting and enforcement

  • Use the report tool on any trip log, comment, or profile to flag a problem.
  • We aim to review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours and will remove content and suspend or remove accounts that break these Guidelines.
  • We review reports and may remove content, hide it, or suspend/terminate accounts at our discretion under the Terms.
  • We may act immediately and without notice for severe violations.
  • Repeat infringers (copyright or these Guidelines) will be removed.

6. Appeals

If you believe we made a mistake, reply to our notice or email contact@parkboxd.com. We'll take another look where appropriate.
