Credits and counts
Every coaster you log is a credit. Parkboxd holds the running count, the day you first rode it, and every re-ride after that, so your coaster credits sit next to the days you earned them instead of in a sheet you maintain by hand.
Ratings and notes
Rate in gold stars, add a note and your own photos. Coasters, flats, dark rides, and shows all log the same way.

Live waits while you are in the park
The wait board for every tracked park, so the queue you are standing in and the log you are keeping live in one theme park app.
A counter gives you a number.
A coaster counter stops at the tally. A ride tracker should hold more than a number.
What a tally holds
A count that goes up, and a list ordered by the day you typed it in. Useful once a year, when somebody asks how many.
It cannot tell you which coaster you rode at midnight, who was in the row behind you, or whether the 95 minute queue was worth it.
What a diary holds
The same count, with a day attached to every credit: the park, the date, your star rating, your photos, and the snack that followed.
Your total still climbs. It just brings the afternoon back with it, and your circle can see the day too.
How counting works here.
One coaster, one credit
Log a coaster for the first time and it counts. Ride it again and Parkboxd records the re-ride instead of inflating the total. Kiddie credits count if you count them. It is your log.
The whole park day
Dark rides, flats, water rides, shows, parades, and food log the same way, so a day reads whole instead of coaster shaped.
